Who
we are
Founded
in 1972, the Hudson Mohawk Industrial Gateway helps the communities
in the Capital District of New York to celebrate, to preserve, and to
profit from its historic industrial legacy. It does so through education,
preservation, advocacy, and development programs.
What
we do

Conduct tours illustrating the industrial heritage
of the area.
- Provide school
programs at the primary, secondary, and college levels.
- Oversee operation
of Troys RiverSpark Visitor Center.
- Oversee development
of the Burden Iron Works Museum.
- Present an annual
award for achievements in historic preservation.
- Preserve relevant
artifacts and document collections.
